- The Procurement Manager - Piping Construction will lead strategic procurement and vendor management efforts for piping materials, equipment, and services-ensuring alignment with engineering standards, timelines, and project budgets within IKG's multi-disciplinary framework.
- Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies specific to piping construction projects.
- Identify, evaluate, and engage with reliable vendor partners for materials and services
- Negotiate contracts to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Issue and manage purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery per project timelines.
- Perform quality assessments of materials and enforce specification compliance.
- Manage and monitor supplier performance, addressing risks and resolving issues effectively.
- Keep comprehensive records of procurement activities for auditing and operational transparency.
- Collaborate closely with project engineers, project managers, and logistics teams.
- Track market trends and cost fluctuations to inform procurement decisions.
- Generate and present regular reporting on procurement KPIs, spend analysis, and supplier performance.
- Qualifications & Skills
- 1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering (Civil/Mechanical), Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2. Experience: At least 5-10 years of procurement experience, ideally in construction, EPC projects, or piping industries. Leadership or managerial experience preferred.
- 3. Familiarity with procurement or ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
- 4. Strong knowledge of piping materials, industry standards, and quality control.
- 5. Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- 6. Effective multitasking, attention to detail, and deadline-driven mindset.
- 7. Strong leadership and team management aptitude.
- 8. Familiarity with ISO 9001, 14001, or OHSAS 18001 standards.
- 9. Experience in high-risk or technical industries (e.g., oil & gas, chemical processing).
- 10. Knowledge of local procurement regulations and content-localization requirements.
